A little about the history and what the cottage has to offer now.
Once occupied by the coastguard, the cottage stands in a row of 7, at the end of an unmade track. The cottage sleeps 4 in a double and a twin bedroom.
The cottage history can be directly linked to the smuggling days of the early 1800s when Saltburn was a remote spot and became notorious for smuggling. The nearby Smugglers Heritage Centre recreates this time.
Recently lovingly refurbished to combine the best of old and new to create a comfortable base for exploring the North Yorkshire Heritage Coastline and North York Moors.
