Here I point out some of the possible problems. But first the good points!
The cottage is in a great seaside location which every visitor appreciates.
Apart from footpaths, it is only accessible by a farm track which can be bumpy in places, however this means that it is quiet, there is no passing traffic.
THIS IS THE HOLIDAY FOR YOU IF:
You like sea and country views
You like a peaceful location with great walking from the door on a cliff path (The Cleveland Way), through fields, woods and on a beach
Although it is rural there are shops, pubs and restaurants etc within 1.5 miles away
Somewhere you can holiday with your pet
Experiencing country living but with a lot of modern conveniences, though not gas central heating as it's off mains. The water drains to a septic tank so we ask that the minimum of detergents are used
A romantic location where you can cosy up inside while the wind howls around outside (sometimes)
Enjoy nature watching with the changing light of a big sky, sunsets, sea views and having a great view of the stars
You like a bit of adventure:
Don't mind lighting the woodburner and keeping it lit in the winter (instruction if needed), it will need emptying too!
NB: POSSIBLE CONCERNS:
The cottage is heated by solid fuel. It is not a flick of the switch system - it requires some effort. I believe it's worth the effort. If you don't please don't book.
The garden is NOT directly outside the back door. It's a few paces along a path. This is only a problem if you need to let dogs out on their own.
The bath is a bit higher than normal which could be a concern if you have a mobility problem or are elderly.
If uncertain of anything please ask.
